Our rewards program !fundrop has received an overwhelming response since its launch in April. With 260,000+ wallets joining, !fundrop has become the third most popular NFT on Ethereum and the leading onchain rewards program overall. Our mission with !fundrop is simple: to create the best onchain rewards program. Here are some of the highlights of our experiments so far:
Exclusive NFTs with Notable Artists: We collaborated with renowned artists such as Kyt Janae, Shawna X, Chuck Anderson (NoPattern), Chris Dorland, and Tyler Givens to create exclusive NFTs for top minters. So far, 32,540 members have minted 73,206 NFTs throughout !fundrop.
Gas Rewards: We pioneered Gas Rewards, offering ETH rewards to members with a 7-day minting streak. To date, we have given away over 200 ETH in rewards over 7 weeks.
!teams: We launched !teams, an exciting onchain competition that brought together 10,886 minters to compete for a prize pool of 47.23 ETH, with 20 ETH contributed from the mint.fun treasury. 197,500 NFTs have been minted across 49,204 projects and counting!
Layer 2 Compatibility: We now offer Layer 2 compatibility with OP Mainnet and Zora Network chains, allowing you to catch trending NFTs across all chains in one place. Moreover, you can earn !fun and streak points across each chain. Base chain support is also on the horizon.
We think the best way to build the best rewards program in web3 is to create a product that is sustainable and value-driven for our members. Our plan is to iterate on revenue-generating features, reward loyal members, and work towards platform decentralization. More on our plans for the coming months:
We have been exploring ways to generate revenue for mint.fun. We are considering introducing mint fees to fund member rewards and the !fun ecosystem. We value user choice and want to ensure that any fees we introduce are positive for all members. These fees would fund exciting prizes and drops for mint.fun members.
We see mint.fun as the homepage of web3, powered by what people are currently minting. While we have taken great care to maintain an unbiased feed ranking, we think the best way to improve our homepage is to enable community curation. The first curatorial feature we’re adding to mint.fun is Boosts – which allows members to highlight NFTs they've minted that hold special significance and deserve more recognition from the mint.fun community.
We think these experiments are essential to creating the best user rewards program in web3. Unlike what’s happening right now with web2 products, we believe in a future where community members can steer the products they use, allowing them to match their values and best interests. The best way we can get there is by building a great, sustainable business rather than rushing out a token.
We are excited to forge this new path ahead and have more !fun onchain with you.
